ILL privileges are limited to currently enrolled students, faculty, and staff of CSUCI.
Borrowing:
- Although patrons may request an unlimited number of items, workload may limit processing to five items per patron per week. Patrons should prioritize their requests accordingly.
- Items owned by Channel Islands are normally excluded from ILL borrowing. An exception is made for items that are checked out, in the bindery, or known to be missing.
- Items from other CSUs generally have a 28-day loan period, beginning on the date the material arrives.
- Items will be held at the circulation desk until due date.
- The loan period on all items is determined by the lending library.
- Renewal requests must be received at least four days prior to due date.
- Renewal policy is determined by the lending library.
- Patrons who consistently disregard due dates, lender restrictions and ILL policies may have their ILL privileges suspended.
Fines
- 1$/day overdue fine up to $25.
- Unclaimed or duplicate articles may be subject to a 5$ per article fee.
- Patron's library account will be suspended if the maximum overdue fine is charged or more than two interlibrary items are overdue.
- Minimum replacement cost for a lost or damaged book is $60. The lending library may charge more and the full amount will be passed to the patron.
