Irene & Jorge Garcia Chicana-o Studies Collection

The core of the collection is over 3,000 items donated by Irene & Jorge Garcia in 2009. The collection includes scholarly and literary books, Spanish and bilingual children’s books, audio tapes, periodicals, newsletters, and pamphlets. The collection continues to grow from generous donations, and has been used by faculty, students, and researchers interested in art, history, chicana-o studies, sociology, literature, education, religion, and music.
