Main Reading Room (178’ x 90’)
This is one of the major architectural features of the building and the central point of the library where electronic, print, and media collections converge with high quality services. The area provides the starting point for students and faculty to begin their search for information and query for digital services.
The Main Reading Room is reminiscent of the large high ceiling traditional reading rooms in classic academic libraries built in the earlier part of the twentieth century. The room is an impressive open study and research space with stately tables and chairs bordered on three sides by the print book collection on the first and second floors.
