President’s Welcome: Students at California State University Channel Islands are partners and pioneers in their educational experience. The success and experiences students have at CSUCI creates a momentum they will have for life.

Renowned Economist: Dr. Sung Won Sohn focuses on teaching economic theory and practice as the Endowed Professor for the Martin V. Smith School of Business & Economics. Sohn’s arrival and the spring opening of the MVS Center for Integrative Decision-Making highlight the School’s growth.

Future of Music: With advisement from entertainment industry professionals (pictured), a new program to produce students with the performance, business, and technology skills needed for the changing environment of the industry is under development.

President’s Circle: President’s Circle members enjoy events that give them opportunities to interact with students, learn about curriculum and programs, and stay current with everything happening at CSU Channel Islands.

Simulated Experience: The only public university in the region to offer a Bachelor of Science degree in nursing, the CSU Channel Islands Nursing program expanded their capability to provide hands-on learning when it opened its Nursing Simulation Laboratory last fall.

This Way to CSU Channel Islands: After years of struggle in a rustic village during the height of Communist China’s Cultural Revolution, Dr. Ching-Hua Wang turned an adverse situation into an adventure.

Student Scholarships: Students shared their reasons to succeed after receiving scholarships at the Business & Technology Partnership Leadership Dinner in April. The scholarships are presented to students pursuing business or technology related majors.

The Cove Bookstore: Looking for some CI spirit? Find it, along with books, at The Cove Bookstore. Visit its new location in Town Center, just a short walk from the Bell Tower and student housing.

Student Life: CSUCI students enjoy a campus that’s conducive for collaboration both inside and outside of the classroom. With renovated courtyards and a new library, there are many locations to meet, study, and succeed.
